In 2016, I received my master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Design from Chatham University. I’ve clocked many hours sitting behind many desks designing websites, logos, and branding suites for nonprofit organizations and consulting companies. I eventually dipped into the agency culture, and then…promptly dipped out.

I’ve always been more naturally invested in the film, photography, and narrative aspect of design, which led me to spend most of my time as a documentary-style wedding and portrait photographer.

I also expanded my offerings to include branding and product photography, which I brought with me to Studio Franko.

I’ve found lots of personal joy and professional success in photography, and quickly outgrew the branding that got me started. Ironically, I rediscovered my affection for design after noticing a huge gap in the field as I struggled to find the right fit to rebrand.

Seeing both sides of the client-designer dynamic inspired me to revisit my original career path.

In 2024, I launched Studio Franko to serve small business owners and creatives who feel that good design is unattainable, unaffordable, and only for the big bads of their industry. When you trust me with your design, you’re getting a present, open partner who is as invested in your story as you are.
